Mino Devost is a musician whose influences are as wide as the continents she’s traveled and toured across. She has collaborated and played with some of the country's finest, running the gamut from traditional gospel, roots country and blues, to indie rock and noise. Having a fascination with voice both as a vocalist and teacher, Mino learns and writes music that challenges her, always chasing beautiful melodies and their counterparts.
Mino has release 4 studio records as well as online singles, the most recent being 2021's Love Her Like You're Leaving EP.
Mino mostly performs playing acoustic and electric guitars solo or accompanied by two vocalists. She covers themes of loss and longing, fate and spirit, utilizing her soulful voice and solid guitar chops to draw influences from the past, such as traditional gospel, country blues and soul, into the present.
In addition to writing for herself, she also works as a collaborator, contributing two tracks (one being the title track) to the Juno nominated record by David Gogo, "Come On Down".
Mino has also contributed her versatile voice to a number of studio recordings, Ken Whiteley's "Gospel Music Makes Me Feel Alright," Kim Barlow's "Saplings," both Kent McAlister's most recents, and Corbin Murdoch and the Nautical Miles' "Wartime Lovesong" to name a few.
Mino currently runs a community choir in Cumberland on Vancouver Island and is looking forward to the production and release of a single in 2024.
